Current research Interest

From April 2015 – March 2020 I was a Principal Data Analyst for PAREXEL Ltd. supporting analysis of medical imaging data with a special focus on assessment of radiologists’ performance metrics in clinical trials. I continue to research new methods in analysis and modeling clinical trial imaging assessment.

GRADUATE RESEARCH TRAINING

My graduate level research work was conducted at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), Department of Radiology from 2006-2010.  My research advisor was Dr. Stephen J. Glick, PhD.  Dr. Glick is a leading researcher in novel breast imaging methods.    His research team, Tomgraphic Breast Imaging Lab (TBIL), has built a prototype dedicated computed tomography breast imaging system and has made significant contributions to dedicated breast CT research.  My disseration topic was entitled “Development of Breast Phantoms for Use in Breast Imaging Simulation.”

Postdoctoral research training

I was fortunate to obtain a postdoctoral fellowship in nuclear medicine at UMMS from 2010-2012 working for research supervisor, Dr. P. Hendrik Pretorius, PhD.  Dr. Pretorus is an expert in single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging, especially in SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). I carried out various research projects such as the production of digital phatoms for SPECT MPI, development of MPI numerical observers and the evaluation of SPECT MPI clinical perception performance.

Previous Research Interests

From April 2012 I was a research instructor in the Department of Radiology at UMMS.  My last full-time research project involved a method to synchronize signals from multiple patient monitors using SPECT list-mode acquisition (published in Medical Physics, Vol 40, Issue 12).   Current research interest:
