Bargaining Central
~ A location for all things bargaining related ~

Full-time faculty at UML have been working without a contract since July 1, 2024. MSP is currently bargaining a successor agreement with management and we need you! Your active participation in our union builds our collective power. Stay informed and get involved to help us win at the bargaining table!

What are we fighting for this cycle? Check out the 2024 Bargaining Platform here. After visiting nearly every department on campus, surveying our members, and having 1-on-1 conversations, the Core Bargaining Team (CBT) took what we heard and created this platform. This is our guiding document for bargaining and concisely articulates our goals.

How can you get involved? Right now the best way to get involved is to become an active member of the Bargaining team as a Silent Bargaining Representative. In this role, you participate in one or more bargaining sessions. To learn more, check out our brief training document. If you are interested in participating, you can sign up for a future session here!

What has happened so far? Bargaining is ongoing. To keep track of the details, you can view the proposals that have been made by both MSP and by management below. This Bargaining Tracker will be updated after each bargaining session.

Have a question or a thought about bargaining? The CBT is at your service. Feel free to reach out to one of the co-chairs (Adam St. Jean and Laura Punnett) or any CBT member with your questions.
