1. Promote faculty and research staff from diverse disciplines for productive collaboration on research, grants, education and service
2. Establish and strengthen meaningful partnerships with industry, other academic institutions, government.
3. Encourage and perform technology commercialization of research outcomes.
4. Outreach to K-12 students and graduate programs and continuing education and training.
