Biography
Arghavan Louhghalam, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Massachusetts, Lowell (UML). She also holds a research affiliate position in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT. She was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT before joining University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2016, where she served as an assistant professor and later as an associate professor. Louhghalam is a recipient of NSF CAREER award and the inaugural college of engineering faculty award for excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Her research on citizen-enabled crowdsourced monitoring of civil infrastructure has been recognized nationally and featured in media outlets.
