Lightboard & Virtual Whiteboard

Picture of Lightboard

A Lightboard is a tool where you, as the instructor, can talk directly to a camera which is recording from the other side you as you write on the glass board with a florescent marker. The result is a video where the image is electronically reversed, making the writing look correct for the viewer.

This is a great method for writing or explaining a process where you would like to make eye contact AND make your materials stand out. See more about it here- https://www.lightboard.info/

A Virtual Whiteboard is another tool that can easily be used to record faculty who are used to standing in front of class. You stand in front of this large monitor and do all of your work on the touch-screen monitor. ITS can record you with a camera, the Virtual Whiteboard and another screen simultaneously, taking a standard recording to the next level.
